Chad McKenney

Mr. McKenney is a partner who has represented individuals and business owners since 1990. He attended Centennial High School and graduated from the College of St. Thomas in 1987. Mr. McKenney then attended William Mitchell College of Law where he graduated cum laude in 1990.

Mr. McKenney has represented businesses and their owners in most areas of business litigation, business formation, contract negotiation, shareholder and director issues, insurance defense, purchases and sales of real estate and mergers and acquisitions. A significant part of Mr. McKenney's practice includes working closely with business owners providing guidance and legal advice to help the businesses achieve their goals. Further, Mr. McKenney often works with individuals on estate planning issues including wills, irrevocable and revocable trusts, healthcare directives, powers of attorney and other issues to carry out the client's estate planning objectives. Mr. McKenney represents clients in commercial litigation disputes including breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, construction defects, shareholder disputes, and insurance defense and appeals. Mr. McKenney has extensive experience working with individuals in many areas of civil litigation including personal injury, construction defects, employee issues, family law and probate litigation. Further, Mr. McKenney provides advice on real estate and townhome and condominium law to real estate brokers, agents and individuals.

Mr. McKenney is admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of Minnesota including the United States District Court for Minnesota and United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Further, Mr. McKenney is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association and American Trial Lawyers Association. Chad is married to Lisa and they have two children, Taylor and Calvin. He enjoys running marathons, triathalons, hockey, tennis, golf and coaching his kids in hockey and soccer.
